Early Fall Fun

One of Joe's birthday presents was a new lense for the camera, so we opted to test it out today. With the drought this summer comes a very early start to falling leaves, so Joe had to do some raking this morning. Joseph was happy to help out, and took his job very seriously.

After the leaves were all piled up, he had tons of fun running and jumping into them, over and over.

Molly thought it looked like a fun game too, and kept burying her ball in the leaves, then trying to find it.

Although it felt really strange to be raking leaves on the unofficial last weekend of summer, Joseph was talking the rest of the day about how much fun he had raking and falling in the leaves. Good thing we always have an over-abundance of leaves in the fall to rake. I think Joe found his new yard work helper for the season!

And no, so far Labor Day has kept its original meaning... no baby yet.
