Family Pictures and Mason's Baptism

On Sunday, October 14th, Ashley and Mikael had planned on doing Mason's 3 month photo shoot. When they realized the photographer had space open for another mini session, we went ahead and booked her to do a full Parsonage family shoot. We haven't had big group pictures taken professionally since before Ashley and I were married, and well before the grandkids were around. We opted to go shopping on Saturday to find coordinating outfits for the kids and planned our outfits.

Although it rained like crazy late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, the skies started to clear out just in time for the photos. It was really windy, though, so I'm happy to see that we didn't look too windswept in all of the photos!

At the end of the shoot, which was out in the back of Faust Park and no where near a bathroom, Joseph decided he needed to pee. Papa had talked about teaching Joseph to pee standing up during the week, so we figured Sunday was as good a time as any for him to help Joseph pee outside... they were too cute!

We just got the sneak peak photos back from the photographer, and I'm really happy with how they look so far. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!

After the photos we all went out to breakfast at First Watch, and had just enough time to go home and change into church clothes before the 12:15pm mass began. Luckily for me, Maddie's sleep patterns matched perfectly with all of our morning activities - she slept through most of the photos, all of breakfast and all of church, managing to wake to eat in between each!

Almost all of our in town family were able to come to the baptism, along with Mikael's mom, sister and some extended family.

Madeline spent the entire time in the car seat, up until the last few minutes of pictures after the baptism was over.

Mason did great getting the water poured on his head! I don't think I heard a peep out of him at all.

Ashley and Mikael had everyone over to their house afterward for a party. The baptism ran really long as there were 4 babies being baptized, and it was the priest's first time doing multiple ceremonies at one time. Joe had to catch the 4:30 train back to KC, so I drove him to the train station, and then we spent most of the evening just hanging out. It was a fun day full of family activities!
