5 months!

Somehow Maddie is 5 months old already! I'll post her "official" pictures this weekend, but here are a few I took yesterday. She now weighs 15.6 lbs and while she still fits into her 3-6 month clothes, I know we will be moving on up soon as she's just about outgrown them in length. In the last week or so, she has started rolling from her back to tummy constantly, and is much happier about staying that way. She seems to have forgotten how to roll to her back, but I'm sure she will start that up again soon.

She's all about gnawing on everything and anything, and is super grabby with anything placed within her reach. She's having lots of fun exploring her Christmas toys, and Joseph enjoys "helping" her play with them. She also is trying hard to pick up her pacifier and get it into her mouth, but doesn't usually get the nipple end in, chews on the side, drops it and gets mad. She cracks me up daily when she'll be sucking on her pacifier and decide to start blowing raspberries or talking. Instead of spitting it out or letting it fall out of her mouth, Maddie shoots the pacifier out like a champagne bottle popping its cork.

She also rang in her birthday by sleeping through the night for her longest stretch ever- 10 hours straight and 12 hours between feedings! Im not going to hold my breath that she will repeat again tonight, but she's been getting better, slowly, about taking longer naps during the day and not waking to eat at 3am. She has dropped the swaddle and ends up sleeping on her tummy most nights, too. She loves to fall asleep holding someone's hand, which is really sweet but not so practical, so we've started introducing her to a small bear my aunt gave her. The picture of her in the baby monitor is how she falls asleep most of the time - all cuddled up with the bear!

Madeline has really blossomed into a super sweet baby who adores her big brother, loves to chew on chins and noses, and seems ready to explore the world around her!
