This post is a little out of order, but the weekend before Joseph's birthday, he had the fun chance to have a weekend sleepover at Nana and Papa's house in Clinton with them and Ethan! The timing worked out well so that I picked him from school at 2:30, and by the time we had returned home and packed his bag, he only had to wait a few minutes before Nana and Papa arrived.
We got a couple inches of snow Friday night into Saturday morning, so the boys took advantage of playing outside. Joe was busy with work, so Madeline and I drove down Saturday morning so she could visit with the big kids too. The boys were just going down for their naps when we pulled up, so Madeline had a few hours of one on one (or two) with Nana and Papa.
After dinner, Papa went out to pick up some Dairy Queen treats for all of us. Maddie tried her best to steal Nana's!
We had lots of fun playing London Bridge upstairs and Nana taught the boys how to build forts out of sheets and chairs. The boys were playing nicely together, so Joseph got to spend Saturday night with them again! Maddie and I drove back home later Saturday night, and got ready to have Ethan over for a sleepover at our house Sunday night. Joseph was having so much fun with "my Ethan!" that it was nice to let them spend so much time together while Ethan was in town.
